How PZB started
My name is Nathan Shako, co-founder of Protekt Ze Brand (PZB) and founder of Driflare. The journey of PZB started in 2025, when I joined Form 3 after performing well in the Junior Certificate Examinations (JCE). At that time, my classmate Dan Mwamba, who had a strong sense of vision and leadership, shared an idea that would later grow into something much bigger.
Dan noticed that as students moved through school, their behavior and reputation changed over time. He introduced the idea of “brand” as reputation — how others see your discipline, character, and conduct. The message “Protect your brand” quickly resonated with students and began to spread naturally.
When I first heard Dan explain it, I saw something more than a school message. I saw a concept that could grow beyond the classroom. In December 2025, I began refining the idea and helped shape it into the name Protekt Ze Brand, short form PZB.
