How It All
Started
The Birth of PZB
It was 2025. After passing our Junior Certificate Examinations (JCE) and entering Form 3, we realized something had to change. We looked back at our time in Form 1 and 2—admittedly, we were trouble makers. But as we stepped up as seniors, a realization hit.
My friend and co-founder, Dan Mwamba, had a visionary idea. He noticed that some people grow up without shedding their immature habits. Dan suggested that as future Form 4s, the school would soon give us the responsibility to take care of the lower classes. We had to get serious. We had to protect our reputation.
"When students understood the word 'Brand', they understood what it meant: Reputation."
The Global Vision
I was curious and asked Dan about the meaning of "Protect the Brand." When he explained it, I completely fell in love with the idea and the name. Dan’s vision sparked something bigger in me. Many students wanted to join, but I believed it deserved to be a global company.
In December 2025, I sat alone thinking about how to scale this. I have a habit of misspelling words to make them unique. I grabbed a notebook and began tweaking the original concept.
I adopted the acronym "PZB", set up the social media accounts, and pitched the evolution to Dan. He loved it.
The Evolution of the Badge
The First Draft
Designed by ChatGPT initially. It held the spirit, but as we transitioned to "Protekt Ze Brand", we felt it looked a bit unrefined and cluttered.
The Current Standard
We needed something bold and clean to represent the gravity of personal reputation. The new mark stands as our official badge of vow.
Building The Future
Dan and I sat down to figure out which unique domains PZB would conquer. We explored becoming a Fashion Brand, a Recording Label, and a Movie Production Company.
By May 2026, we took our digital leap. Using Claude, we architected the full website for PZB, hosting it as a proud subdomain of Driflare. We are pouring our hearts into creating the best project ever with Protekt Ze Brand.
